Hi! I'm Emily Madill, thank you for stopping by. I'm a writer, certified professional coach, and one of Thrive Global’s editors-at-large.
I love words and sharing them in a way that makes people feel good.
My most creative role though, is being mama to two boys. They remind me to be playful, to trust in my inner wisdom, and to love with every part of who I am.
I send out a weekly note every Thursday morning called: “Em’s Weekly Inspiration”. I love curating these notes each week. My hope is to help other women who may feel overwhelmed by the noise and busyness of life.
The weekly notes include practical ideas to tune in to your own inner wisdom, and embrace your version of a happy life. I’d love to connect with you on your journey. Go here to sign up for the free weekly notes.
Here is a more formal bit on what I do, if formal and third person is your thing. 😉

"I discovered Emily‘s work some time ago in Aspire Magazine and what she wrote clicked with me, so I bought her book and have done the E-Course. What I really like is that Emily is “real” and authentic and what she writes just resonates with me. I also have a busy family life with a job and two boys and try to engage in personal growth, and every Thursday I have a positive message from Emily in my inbox." – Alexandra, Germany
"I took the 13- week E-course and now I'm taking the 52-week E-course and can tell you it has helped me and I'm so very grateful. There is so much information and ways to help yourself through the toughest times in your life. I am 60 and thought I knew it all but Emily’s ways of teachings are incredible and so insightful, and she is always there to support you through it. Thank you for your inspirations Em. Take this journey I promise you wont regret it." – Pam, Canada
"Through most of my life you could say I’ve been hyper reflective. What I’ve noticed through this course is a focus. So although I’m still reflecting in many ways, there is this one focus for the week that I tune into, and allow everything else to fall away. That’s when I drop into my body, and become more present. Exactly what I need more of. Great course!" – Stacey, USA
"This is the book to prepare you for the coming year! If you're ready to fall in love with your life, I know how you can do it, and who can lead the way. Emily Madill is a light to all who know her and I'm so happy she is putting her brilliance in print, to reach as many people as possible! She's authentic, caring, and sage-like, and you will know this immediately upon soaking up her teachings!" - Mike Dooley, New York Times Bestselling author, speaker, and entrepreneur in the philosophical New Thought movement (TUT.com)
"Emily, thank you for all your support over the past few years. Our
coaching sessions have helped me get my personal and professional
goals on track. You have a lovely way of guiding clients through the
process of discovering what their priorities really are, and I
appreciate the accountability and gentle nudges that come along with
that knowledge. You always know just when to give me that extra little
push that I need to get unstuck and back on track!"
- Crystal Stranaghan, Health Psychologist, Vancouver BC
Emily Madill begins 'Fall in Love With Your Life, One Week at a Time' book with her quote: ‘'when we shine a light on whatever is going well, we illuminate the path.”
This selection glows with positive energy, and we connect with the
imagery of illumination. Emily continues with her own wording that
maintains that scintillating energy and illumination, shining with
positivity, in an engaging, conversational voice. I had such faith in
Emily that I wanted to glean as much as possible from her advice. Very
reassuring, and avoiding self-help cliché, each section is
beautifully-crafted, with Emily’s great instinct for effective length
and detail. Very well done.
